Phuket has two major zipline parks with nearly the same name, in different parts of the island, and people book the wrong one often enough that both parks field the question daily. Here is the plain answer.
Flying Hanuman is in Kathu, in a steep forested valley about twenty five minutes from Patong. It opened more than fifteen years ago and is the original Phuket canopy tour.
Hanuman World is in Wichit, on the Chalong side near Phuket Town, roughly half an hour from Kata or Karon. It is newer, much bigger, and built as a full adventure park rather than a zipline course.
They are different sites, with different entrances, run by different companies. Flying Hanuman is operated by Sky Trek Adventures. The two are commercially friendly, to the point that Flying Hanuman sells a combined package covering both parks in one day with transfer between them, but they are not the same business and you cannot use a booking for one at the other.
Which is exactly the mistake to avoid: turning up at the wrong side of the island with a voucher the desk cannot honour.
Flying Hanuman involves a good deal of walking, which is the detail most people miss when they book it. The course covers 42 platforms and 14 ziplines through a steep valley, with four sky bridges and two abseil descents worked into it, but the sections are joined by jungle path rather than by cable, and some of that path climbs. Your guides do all the clipping at both ends of every line, so you never handle your own carabiner, and the group moves round together at one pace.
Hanuman World is organised completely differently. There is a zipline circuit of 32 platforms and 16 lines, the longest running about half a kilometre, but it sits inside a park that also contains a roller zipline on a banked steel rail, a canopy skywalk, a slingshot and, since 2026, a luge track, and you buy whichever of those you fancy rather than working through all of them in order. That matters most for mixed groups, because anyone who would rather not leave solid ground can do the skywalk and the restaurant and still have had a day out.
Who you are travelling with tends to answer this faster than any feature list.
Both include hotel transfer and insurance on everything, and both feed you on their top package, which is not standard in Phuket and is worth more than the hundred baht it looks like.
Flying Hanuman: 1,500 baht buys the canopy walk alone, 1,990 and 2,490 the shorter courses, 3,290 the full FH1 with a meal.
Hanuman World opens at the same 1,500 baht for a ten platform ticket, but the ladder above that runs differently, because the World+ packages from 1,990 up to 3,490 fold in the roller zipline, the skywalk and a meal at the Wanon Zone restaurant, and adding the luge takes the top of the range to 4,290.
So the two parks start at an identical price and separate at the ceiling, which is worth knowing if your budget is fixed. Checked August 2026.
This will not settle it either. Flying Hanuman holds 4.8 from more than 2,600 Google reviews and a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award. Hanuman World holds 4.9 from 1,932 TripAdvisor reviews, first among outdoor activities in its area.
Read the angry reviews at either park and you find the same complaint coming back, though it is very rarely about the ziplines themselves. Almost all of it is voucher trouble: transfers that never turned up, tickets the desk would not accept, discount codes bought on a platform the park has no arrangement with. Whoever you book through, make sure they confirm your seat with the park rather than just taking your money.
Book Flying Hanuman if you want the traditional zipline experience done properly, you like the idea of a guided group in real rainforest, you are staying in or near Patong, or you have someone in the group aged closer to eighty than eight, since the guided format handles a wide range of fitness well.
Book Hanuman World if you are bringing a mixed group who will not all want to fly, you want a fuller day with several different activities, the luge appeals, or you are staying on the Chalong, Kata or Phuket Town side.
Book both if you have the appetite, using Flying Hanuman's combined package that covers the two parks in a single day with transfer between them.
Remember it this way. Flying Hanuman flies: it is a zipline tour, and only that. Hanuman World is a world: a park with several things in it. Kathu for the first, Wichit for the second.
