Zipline Phuket: Everything You Need to Know

Phuket has more zipline parks than anywhere else in southern Thailand, and they are genuinely different animals rather than seven versions of the same afternoon. One hangs above Patong with a 700 metre line out over the sea, one is a full adventure resort with a roller zipline and a luge track, and one is a French-built challenge course with a 23 metre free fall.

What happens on the day

Most parks collect you from your hotel, and once you arrive the guides fit your helmet, harness and gloves and run through the safety briefing before anyone leaves the ground. How long you fly depends on where you booked: the short Kamala courses are done inside an hour and a half, while the big canopy circuits keep you up there for a good three hours. Which park should you choose

If you want one enormous ride, Erawan Patong holds the longest line on the island at 700 metres, straight out over the bay. Hanuman World is the biggest and most varied day, Flying Hanuman the original and most polished canopy tour, and Jungle Xtrem the one for people who would rather be physically tested than guided around. How booking works

You reserve at the listed price and pay at the park on the day, so there is no prepayment and cancellation is free. Booking a day ahead is enough outside high season; from November to March the popular parks fill their pickup rounds, so give it a little longer.
